Learning Objectives:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of aortic stenosis. This includes the review of fundamental diagnostic strategies for native aortic stenosis, including the challenges of low-flow, low-gradient AS and the role of dobutamine stress echocardiography.
- Recognition of mechanisms and echocardiographic findings of prosthetic valve dysfunction of patients with aortic stenosis and the available treatment options.
- Understand patient-prosthesis mismatch (PPM) and explain how to diagnose PPM on echocardiography.
